In Perry County, there are 8 children in
foster care and just 2 foster homes. This means, among other things, that children must often be placed in other counties and in new schools. A child who has already experienced the trauma of being removed from their home and family also is removed from her church, coach, neighbors, and friends. Our goal is for children to be in their home communities with familiar teachers, friends, and others who will naturally support them.
We also have hundreds of children, most of them school-aged, in Arkansas waiting for an adoptive family. A family to tuck them in at night, help them with homework, go on vacation with. The greatest need is for experienced parents opening their hearts and homes to siblings or teenagers.

On August 29, 2017, 6:30 pm, The CALL and the Department of Children & Family Services will host an information meeting to answer questions and share about fostering, adopting, and volunteering.
