The CALL in Craighead County

Foster / Adopt I want to volunteer!

The CALL in Craighead County considers it a blessing and privilege to help the body of Christ in our community understand how they can engage and make an eternal impact in the lives of children and teenagers in foster care!

My name is Ginger McFadden. I am the new County Coordinator for Craighead County. I am married to my husband, Brett, for 34 years this June. We have 2 dogs (Mollie and Hazel), 4 adult children, 3 amazing daughters-in-law, 3 grand dogs, 2 of the most wonderful grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way.

I first became aquatinted with The CALL in 2008 when we were working on the process to open our home for foster care. We were eventually able to adopt our sweet girl. I can’t believe it’s been that long ago. It seems like yesterday .

Having Christian foster families and the support of our local churches is essential in caring for children that have been placed in foster care. It truly is the Great Commission being lived out loud.

I enjoy spending time with my family, especially those grandbabies, walking, painting, and hanging out in the sun!  I am so excited to watch God move in Craighead County and to get to play a small part in how he uses the Church community to further His kingdom.

After growing up in a family that fostered & adopted, and then adopting our son out of foster care, I have seen the Foster Care system from multiple angles. I knew from an early age that my heart and passions would always lie in the most vulnerable among us and that bringing awareness and supporting those walking this journey was something I wanted to do. I had known about The CALL for many years when the organization began efforts to start up in my portion of the state and knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of it. My husband, Bradley, and I have three children, the youngest of which is adopted from Foster Care. We are members of The Rock of NEA Church and enjoy traveling with our kids and spending time with our very large extended family. My hope is to see more than enough foster families in Craighead County and to also see churches wrapping around those families, making their job a little easier.
